Together Everyone Accomplishes More

Every group of people is known for something. Just hearing their name or seeing their symbol can evoke emotions.

What about the church?
What do we want people to know about us?
What are we trying to accomplish?
What is it that should get us out of bed every morning? What is it that should bind us together with all other Christians—regardless of age, race, background, or church affiliation?
  • Philippians 2:1-2 (NIV) If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

In other words, you’ve gotten a lot from being a follower of Jesus. Now it’s time to start being and doing as a result. It’s time to start being and doing…together!

Why? Because…together we can do more!

There are people all around us that aren’t experiencing what we get to experience by following Jesus.
There are people all around us that don’t have a relationship with Christ at all.
We have the opportunity together to help people connect with God.

But it doesn’t stop there.

There are people all around us that don’t have any kind of real friendships with people who love them no matter what.
There are so many people that don’t feel accepted, don’t fit into any group, and they’re just lonely.
They are looking for a loving group of people to take them in.

We have the opportunity together to help people connect with God and His people in an incredible way.

Over the next few weeks you will be hearing about our Family BBQ happening on October 19th.  It is an opportunity for us to band together as the body of Christ at DSC to accomplish the mission of reaching lost people and bringing them into the family of God.  Join with us in this endeavor to bring people into a lasting and life changing relationship with God and His people.
