Revelation 13 - 10.28.25

SCRIPTURE:  Revelation 13:9,10b “Whoever has ears, let them hear”… “This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people”.

OBSERVATION:  John described a vision he had regarding two of Satan’s accomplices: The beast out of the sea and the beast out of the earth.  John wrote down his vision and sent it to seven churches. He described the limited power that the beast will have.  One of the heads of the beast out of the sea seemed to have a fatal wound that was healed, which caused the whole world to be filled with wonder and follow it.  It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people, and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe, language and nation.  All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names are NOT written in the Book of Life.  “Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

The second beast out of the earth exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.  Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.”

APPLICATION:  “This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.” John warned all Christians about the importance of faithful endurance.  In order to endure the temptations and the struggles we will face, we must be deeply rooted in God’s Word and rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to guide every aspect of our lives.  In one portion of Scripture it says even the elect will be led astray if possible! (Matthew 24:24).  Satan knows his days are numbered.  Ever since he rebelled against God and led Adam and Eve to sin in the Garden of Eden, there has been a great conflict between good and evil that has been impacting all human beings, but God informed Satan that Jesus will eventually strike his head, even though the evil one will be allowed to strike Christ’s heel.  (Genesis 3:15).

PRAYER:  Thank You God for equipping us with everything we need to remain strong in Jesus.  You have given us all the strength we need to endure hardships, troubles, trials, and even persecution!
Your Word warns us that Christians will be persecuted for our faith, but, I pray You will help us to remember that it’s worth following Jesus all the way because our final rewarded eternal destination has been promised by You, and what You promise, You will be faithful to fulfill it!
