When & Where We Meet

We hope you’ll join us for a weekend service to see for yourself what we’re about. Through contemporary music and practical messages, with much laughter as well as seriousness, we present the ageless truths of the Bible in a format that's easy to understand, even if you've never been to church.

We want you to know that wherever you are on your spiritual journey - whether you're just beginning to investigate Jesus or you already have a relationship with Him - we're here to help you take the next practical steps and to offer you a place where you can find caring relationships with other seekers and followers of Christ.

For your first visit:

1. Join us Sunday mornings at 26873 Ruether Avenue at 8:30 or 10:30 am for our weekly services.

2. If you have children, we have great ministries available for them where they are well cared for and ministered to. Pre-schoolers can be dropped off at The Nursery/Busy Bee Rooms and your 1st through 6th graders go to Unit C. 1st through 6th Grade check-in is located in the front of Unit C. The Nursery and Busy Bee rooms are located in Unit D. If you need help, please ask a Greeter.

3. Go to the auditorium for the adult service.

What Should I Expect

At Desert Streams Church, we feel that it’s OUR responsibility to “clear the way” for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of our church. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. What should I wear… what’s available for my kids… what should I expect in church? Here is a quick look at what you can expect:

Do you want my money?
In a word, no. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something! The folks who are a regular part of our church voluntarily give to help support Desert Streams Church. But we certainly don't expect our guests to give. Our desire for you is simply that you be given the opportunity to check us out without feeling pressured to give money.

Are you going to tell me what's wrong with me?
At its core, the message of Jesus is about good news. He did not come to earth to condemn us. Instead, he came to give us life. And so, while we feel it is important to recognize that we all have fallen short of God's ideals, it is even more important to emphasize the joyful and complete life which Jesus offers us. Our desire is that you would come away from our Sunday services contemplating that reality: that while we have fallen short of the ideal in our lives, Jesus offers us satisfaction, fulfillment and joy in a way and in a measure we have never known before.

Do I have to dress up?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in. Please feel free to join us, and be sure to wear clothes which make you feel comfortable.

Do I have to turn my kids over to a stranger?
We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached.

I have more questions!
If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact us. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have!

How Do I Get Connected?

If you are new to Desert Streams Church here are a few ways to help you get connected.

  • On Sundays, you can fill out a Blue Connection Card checking off any areas that you are interested in and someone will contact you regarding those areas of interest.
  • If you fill out the Blue Connection Card you are sent an invitation to our Visitor Reception where you meet the pastor, some of the staff, elders and ministry leaders.
  • If you have just become a Christian we invite you to attend our Cross Training 101 where you explore the basics of Christianity. This class meets for six weeks on Sundays from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • You can always call Warren Vivian, our Connection Pastor, at the church office or email him at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
  • If you are not a new Christian then another connection point is our Cross Training 102 where we discuss what Desert Streams Church is all about. Who we are, what are our statements of beliefs, our mission and primary purpose and our strategies to fulfill that in the Santa Clarita Valley.
  • From that point on there are other Cross Training Classes that help to disciple you as well as connect you with the people in our Church Family.
  • Another connecting point is our Small Groups that are as diverse as the family at Desert Streams Church. Soon we will be able to search the database of small groups right from the website and it will give you all the information to get connected in a small group of your choice. For now, call the church office and we will be glad to direct you. Don't worry about making a long term commitment or making the "perfect connection" the first time. In fact, we encourage you to visit as many of our small groups as you wish until you find one that's right for you. The most important thing is to get connected where you are comfortable, so you can develop deeper friendships and strengthen your relationship with God.

If you're still not sure where to start, we suggest volunteering on one of our Ministry Teams, which support our mission. This will give you a chance to work along side people and get to know them at your own pace, while learning more about Desert Streams.
